Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
Your city is planning to develop new sports complex. The city has sent out an opinion survey to see what residents would like to have built-in that area.
Sports Complex development survey:
Option A: Athletic tracks and supports Complex: Sports complex will mainly provide facilities to Athletes.
Option B: Baseball ground: Authorities will develop ground with a good sitting capacity
To whom it may concern. Unfortunately, in today's world, certain sports are overshadowed by sports that make the big buck, and one such sport is athletics. Our city has an enormous pool of talent in athletics and has given the country two exceptional Olympic sprinters. Therefore, I would like the city administration to build an athletic track and a sports complex on encouraging future international athletes. The athletic sports complex will provide budding athletes with the proper state of the art infrastructure. It will also provide talented young kids of our community with the proper training and support to make it big in the athletic world. The sports complex will attract businesses as it can be an excellent venue for regional and national level athletic meets. As the sports complex will be open to the public, it will be an excellent place for the citizens of our community to get their daily exercises. Moreover, the baseball ground near Church street has enough space for more seatings to increase the ground's capacity. After some refurbishing and maintenance work, the ground can be made ready to support bigger crowds. Based on my considerations mentioned above, I would like to earnestly request the city administration to build an athletic sports complex for our city to utilize and enjoy. Regards, Felix
