Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions

Read the following information.

The state government is proposing a new agriculture policy in your state but some organizations are opposing it because they feel, the new policy is against state farmers. Government has sent out an opinion survey to see what residents would like to say on this issue.

New agriculture policy:

Option A: Import cheaper grains and vegetables from other countries.
Option B: Bring in more land under cultivation and support local farmers.

To Whom it may concern. I think that new agriculture policy is in favour of the farmers. New rule has many positive points, which would help to grow the agriculture techniques and productivity. As per law, farmers will get the more land under cultivation. That would help to give more support—the same policy implemented in Canada province last year. In the starting phase, local farmers think that a new rule was not in support of them; however, after six months, locals got the vast benefits like got more land for cultivation and farmers have to set the minimum sale price (MSP) for their crops. Nowadays, in India cultivation land per person or family is not much enough for their survival. In this policy farmers will get land on lease, and the rent is also not too much. If the farmer has no money to purchase seeds or other needs, they will get as well. Again, this is my personal opinion; else I will support whatever government decide. Regards Tony.
