Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
The state government is proposing a new agriculture policy in your state but some organizations are opposing it because they feel, the new policy is against state farmers. Government has sent out an opinion survey to see what residents would like to say on this issue.
New agriculture policy:
Option A: Import cheaper grains and vegetables from other countries.
Option B:Bring in more land under cultivation and support local farmers.
I would say supporting local farmers would be a win-win. Although importing grocery from foreign countries does appears to be its not the best option. Expanding cultivation area not only will increase production, but will also create jobs for local. It will create opportunities for farmers, retail stocks, and factories constructing combine. And it will reduce the retirement claims as people will no longer opt for early retirement. Next, choosing to plant grain and vegetables locally could reduce the risk of being tampered, which is a common concern nowadays. As a result, this will address health issues to a great extent. Hence, promoting a healthy lifestyle. To conclude, I would prefer the tough of bringing in more areas to support locals. However, this is my personal opinion, and I would accept and support the decision taken by higher authorities. Thank you for giving me a chance to express my thoughts.
