Writing Task 1: Writing an Email

Read the following information.

You recently made an online purchase and the product was not the same as the description on the website.

Write an email to the website support department in about 150-200 words. Your email should do the following things:

  • What you purchased and when.
  • Exactly how it is different from the website description.
  • How you would like the company to fix the problem.

Dear Apple Customer Service Department, My name is Thomas; I have purchased the last Macbook Pro 2021 PC from your online store last March 18th, 2021. My purchase order number is PO: 0123456. I've some concerns with the received product because it is not exactly what you describe on the website. The online website apple.com, on the Specification Section, is described as a laptop with 17 inches screen. The one I received is only 15 inches. Also, the processor mentioned on the site is an M1 quad-core processor 3GHZ. When I made a hardware test on my computer, the result was an inadequate processing power response. So I entered the device property and got in shock when the report shows a Celeron dual-core processor with only 2GHz. I'm in the Data Analysis business, which requires high processing cores. With this machine, I can not run my processing algorithms. I want to send back the equipment and refund my money back or change it to the PC with the same specs as the advertisement on your online site.
