Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
Parents should or should not encourage their kids for competition. A Child welfare society has sent out an opinion survey to know the views of the parents.
Option A: Competition leads to progress.
Is Competition good or bad::
Option B: Competition harbours hostility and aggression.
To whom it may concern, I think competition could play an essential role in children's growth. Although having too much competitiveness can make some kids angrier, competition can give small targets to hit for self-growth. First, the predominant benefit of being competitive with someone can help grow more interest to know more stuff to make ourselves up. Moreover, someone can enhance confidence by winning; however, it can be a role model for someone else. Small competition can be work like a small goal due to those, and some kids can learn how to achieve big things by dividing it into a small goal. Furthermore, it could also teach kids to face loss to be able to if they do not learn how to stand again after losing anything, they can not survive in life for longer. Consider these reasons, I must say competition is significant in a teenager's life, but this is my perspective. I will support whatever child welfare society would like to do. Thanks for giving me a chance to put my input on this. Regards, Mike
