Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
A local NGO working for the betterment of school-going kids, especially focusing on reducing the stress level in the new generation has sent out an opinion survey to see what people think about the presence of multimedia gadgets in house.
Option A: Kids should have no access to gadgets like smartphones or iPad etc..
NGO conducting a survey:
Option B: Kids should be encouraged to read books in their free time.
I would like to opine in favour of option B, which are kids should be encouraged to read books in their free time as it seems a far better and convincing choice for me than the other. Though kids should have no access to gadgets like smartphones or iPad is equally appealing, I would present a couple of reasons to substantiate my argument. There are many reasons why option B is more suitable than option A. Firstly; it encourages kids to learn more; kids can get to read different books that can help to develop their knowledge. For example, kids can get to read different history books to get familiar with what's going on around the world. Secondly, it promotes relaxation amongst kids. Indeed reading books has increasingly helped to reduce stress in the 2000s. Considering these reasons, I believe that kids should be encouraged to read books in their free time is more worthy than the kids should have no access to gadgets like smartphones or iPad.
