Dear CIBC Billing Department Manager, I am writing to inform you that I have been billed twice for the same purchase. I have been using the same credit card for two years now, and I created a habit of double-checking my expenses every month. Yesterday, I received my credit card's statement regarding the period from July 02nd to August 02nd, and while I was checking it, I realized that I was charged two times for a purchase at MC Donald's. The first charge indicates the exact date I went to the restaurant for my daughter's birthday. But, intriguingly, I was charged a second time on the next day and the same amount of 45.12CAD. I thought that, for some reason, the credit card could have split the total amount into two portions. However, the Mc Donald's printed receipt shows two sandwiches combo for 20.00CAD each, plus taxes, in a total amount of 45.12CAD. That means that the second payment should not have been placed. I kindly ask the bank to refund the over-billed portion in my next statement. Please let me know if you need further information. Sincerely Mike
