Writing Task 1: Writing an Email

Read the following information.

On a recent holiday, you lost a valuable item. Fortunately, you have travel insurance to cover the cost of anything lost

Write a letter to the manager of your insurance company in about 150-200 words. Your email should do the following things:

  • Describe the item you lost.
  • How you lost it.
  • What you would like the insurance company to do for you.

Dear Manager, I am writing this email to inform you about my favorite ring that I lost when I was in Calgary for my vacation. It was on the 20th of August; I went to Banff National Park with my girlfriend. Here, when I was taking pictures of my girlfriend, I realized my ring has lost. We both tried to find that everywhere, but we got just failure. I always wear that ring. It is a beautiful 22 karat gold ring with a 2 mm diamond on top of it. This was a very precious ring, and it was close to my heart because I bought this from my first paycheque. The value of the ring was $600. According to my policy, your company will cover 90 percent of the total amount. So, I am expecting that amount, and if you need any bill or document, please contact me. I hope to hear from you soon.
