Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
You live in a small town of 10,000 people. A large green area in the centre of town is undeveloped. The city has sent out an opinion survey to see what residents would like to have built in that area.
Option A: Shopping Complex: This shopping mall would include restaurants, a large supermarket, and a movie theatre.
City Development Survey :
Option B: Recreational Park: This park would include a sports complex, a large green area, and a small petting zoo.
To whom it may concern. I think having a Recreation Park would be a better choice. Even though our town does not have a Shopping Complex yet, the Recreational Park would offer more practical benefits to our residents. A Park with a sports complex would be more beneficial because it offers good exercise, making people stay healthy and fit. Secondly, having a large green area for picnics and playgrounds is one of the good parts of this Recreational Park. Families can have a place to spend quality time playing with their kids in a healthy environment. Lastly, a small petting zoo is also necessary. Kids would love to have a petting zoo where they can see animals and even have a chance to feed them. This will also bring knowledge to them. I am considering these reasons. I think Recreational Park would be more beneficial to our town. It is my thoughts, but I will support whatever decision is made. Thank you for giving me a chance to provide input on this issue.
