Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
A local NGO working for the betterment of school-going kids, especially focusing on reducing the stress level in the new generation has sent out an opinion survey to see what people think about the presence of multimedia gadgets in house.
NGO conducting a survey:
Option A: Kids should have no access to gadgets like smartphones or iPad etc..
Option B: Kids should be encouraged to read books in their free time.
To whom it may concern, I want to opine in approbation of kids must be encouraged to read books considering various reasons. In the following paragraph, I would elucidate and justify my choice. Conspicuously, In today's fast-moving world and technology-driven society, kids are going away from our roots and forget the essence of books in our life. Moreover, what seems to be more convincing for me is that there should be one dedicated class in school, especially book reading, to understand their values. Many famous writers globally from whom kids can learn a great deal and implement them in daily use. Additionally, books are the best friends for anyone, especially kids, who can take advantage of their free times and understand our heritage. However, the other option seems unrealistic since there is no comparison between reading books and playing with smartphones as this will only lead to week eye-side and mobile addiction. Based on the above reasons, I still stand with my stance. That is, book reading is by far the best choice instead of playing with gadgets. Regards Thomas
