Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
You live in a small city. City administration is planning to allocate funds for two possible projects.
Your City is funding ONE of the given projects :
Option A: Option A: Bike Lanes: Planning to build new separate lanes for bikers
Option B: Renovate gym: Planning to add a swimming pool and spa centre in existing gym
To whom it may concern. The number of bikes is increasing day after day in our small city which became crowded recently. I want to thank the management's initiative to allocate a budget for some possible projects. And as far as I'm concerned, I firmly believe that establishing new separate lanes for bikers will be a practical option due to many reasons. First of All, there is an incredible increment in the number of bikes recently caused by the population increment in our city. Moreover, the lack of community leads the citizens to use their bikes to move from and to their works. Finally, the lack of pedestrian and sidewalks has caused too many accidents recently. I would recommend that we create new bike lines rather than renovating our existing gym, which is rarely used by the populations nowadays. I believe in the saying 'half a loaf is better than no bread' so, I'll support whatever is your decision. Regards, Mike.
