Writing Task 1: Writing an Email

Read the following information.

Recently you visited the Zoological park and had an uncanny experience, as a man died by falling in the tiger’s enclosure. You were not able to do anything at that point but wanted to show your concern for the safety of the visitors.

Write an email to the Director of the Zoological Park in about 150-200 words. Your email should do the following things:

Give a description of the incident
Complain about the short fencing
Show your concern for the safety of the visitors

Sample Answer

Dear Director of Zoological Park, I am writing to express my feeling about the security system of the Zoo. Last week I went to visit your Zoo, and I experienced a terrible situation. I saw a man had fallen into the tiger's cage and died from one of the tiger's attack. I could not be able to anything because my children were with me, and there was no security guard to help him out. It was a very unpleasant situation for me as I did not expect to experience it. The most crucial part is that my children got scared after seeing the scenario, and they do not want to visit the Zoo anymore. The whole situation gave them severe mental trauma. I have noticed that the fencing is way shorter in terms of security than the other zoos in town. As a result, wild animals can easily reach visitors and attack them. Additionally, there is a chance to fall into the cage of wild animals accidentally. I want to request you that please enhance the height and width of the fence. I also request you to increase the number of security guards so the visitors can access them easily to seek help in any situation. I look forward to your response. Thanks Tony
