Writing Task 1: Writing an Email

Read the following information.

Recently you visited the Zoological park and had an uncanny experience, as a man died by falling in the tiger’s enclosure. You were not able to do anything at that point but wanted to show your concern for the safety of the visitors.

Write an email to the Director of the Zoological Park in about 150-200 words. Your email should do the following things:

  • Give a description of the incident
  • Complain about the short fencing
  • Show your concern for the safety of the visitors

Dear safety team, I am Thomas, A guest who loves visiting your zoo park every Sunday of the year with his wife and kids. However, the past Sunday, I had an uncanny experience just after a man died by falling in the tiger's enclosure; this experience made me brought to your attention a couple of safety points for a better guest experience: First, the safety team shall build a larger mesh. The fencing currently in the enclosure is minimal, and it puts everyone at risk, including our kids. This new mesh shall be around the enclosure of dangerous animals such as tigers, lions, and snakes; this will avoid a similar uncanny experience like the one past Sunday. Second, the safety team shall hire more staff and trained them for unforeseen situations; in addition, the staff shall be positioned in zones throughout the zoo where danger may arise. Last but not least, the safety team should work along with the marketing team to create awareness and distribute it in the forms of emails, surveys, tickets, posts, and signals. I believe visitors will be safe if these points are implemented promptly, If you would like to get a hold of me to discuss this further, do not hesitate in contacting me on my phone number below. Regards Thomas
