Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
A NGO is conducting a survey to know how people feel about education system for boys and girls. The NGO has sent out an opinion survey to see what residents feel about the given options
New educational institute survey :
Option A: it is better to educate boys and girls in separate schools.
Option B:Boys and girls benefit more from attending mixed schools.
To whom it may concern I want to write in favour of option B which is boys and girls benefit more from attending mixed schools. However, educating boys and girls in separate schools is equally good. To begin with, there are two primary reasons why option B is more advantageous than option A. Firstly, it discourages gender bias in society; students do not need to be discriminated against for attending mixed schools. For example, a boy can have a female friend without the mentality of not just having a male as a friend and vice versa. Secondly, both males and females benefit from individual intel. Indeed, boys and girls attending a mixed school have increasingly contributed to individual intel in the 2000s. For instance, a recent article suggests that attending mixed schools now supersedes separate schools by 25%. Considering these reasons, I believe that boys and girls attending mixed schools are more worthy than educating them in separate schools. Regards, Mark
