Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
Your city is planning to develop new sports complex. The city has sent out an opinion survey to see what residents would like to have built-in that area.
Sports Complex development survey:
Option A: Athletic tracks and supports Complex: Sports complex will mainly provide facilities to Athletes.
Option B: Baseball ground: Authorities will develop ground with a good sitting capacity
To whom it may concern, I have recently found that the local authority has announced to develop a sports complex in my locality. Of course, spending money to build athletic tracks will encourage sportspeople to keep themself fit, but I feel that building a Baseball ground would benefit society. The one most important reason for developing a large green area with a sitting capacity is that it would allow baseball players to develop their skills and generate revenue for the city. The local sports societies can organize a baseball match event and invite players from their neighbourhood cities to match others. Moreover, an audience can be invited to watch the match with some ticket prices, and the same will generate revenue for the local government. On the other hand, the city already has enough athletic tracks for the athlete players who can go in and practice. Furthermore, the playground areas can also be used for running tracks by sports players, which will help them get good stamina. In conclusion, considering the reasons mentioned above, I would say baseball ground will help a city to arrange sufficient funds and let the other cities participate with other players. Regards Thomas
