Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
Your city is conducting survey to know public opinion, if city should close the central zoo. The city has sent out an opinion survey to see what residents think about it.
Closing Main city zoo
Option A: Option A: City should close the central Zoo.
Option B: City should not close the central Zoo.
To whom it may concern. The earth is a habitat for infinite species of living creatures. The national parks and zoos bring these living organisms a step closer to a human being. I appreciate the city's initiative to take public opinion on the future of central zoo, Surrey. In my view, rather than closing the zoo, the city department should invest in its upliftment. Firstly, the central zoo is one of the prominent tourist attraction in our city. People from nearby cities visit the zoo, especially in the summers. The tourists see many animals like white tiger, deer, and elephants they haven't seen before. The colourful parrots and shiny sparrows catch the eyes of the visitors. Secondly, the central zoo is not only a tourist place but an educational institution for the children. The kids love to visit the zoo and learn about various animals they have only seen in the books. I saw many schools taking the students on an educational tour of the central zoo. Based on the above two considerations, I prefer that the city department continue investing in the central zoo for its betterment. People love to bond with unique creatures. Regards, Mike
