Writing Task 1: Writing an Email

Read the following information.

You have bought a new mobile phone and in a few days after purchase it has stopped working. You spoken to the company representative a week ago but the phone has still not been repaired.

Write an email to the Company in about 150-200 words. Your email should do the following things:

  • Introduce yourself
  • Explain the situation
  • Say what action you would like to company to take

Dear sales manager, My name is Thomas, and my cell phone number is 266 746 7456. I'm your faithful customer for many years, and I'm delighted with your service. Before seven days, last Monday, I bought a new cell phone through online ordering from your site. The phone is Samsung S20 Note, the favourite one for me. After four days of normal working, the problem is that suddenly the phone stops working without any apparent reason. I tried few things like restarting it, charging the battery, but nothing doesn't help. Meanwhile, I called your customer care office, and I spoke with someone. She told me that I should call and report to the service section. I phoned many times there, and I left a message, but it seems nobody heard. I'm very concerned about this, and I hope that you will help me somehow. I would like to replace it with another one because it is not my fault. I know that you are a company with a prominent and longtime reputation, and I'm sure that you will fix this matter. At last, I expect a quick decision and answer from you. Regards, Thomas.
