Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
Hostel management has decided to upgrade the security in and around the campus. The management has sent out an opinion survey to see what residents would like to have as new security measure.
You are residing in a College hostel :
Option A: New HD Night Vision Cameras covering the area around the hostel.
Option B: Installing biometric locks on the doors.
To whom it may concern. Considering both of the options, I believe I would like to go with Option A. The primary reason behind choosing Option A is that we already have a card-based lock system in our hostel. I believe for the time being that it is serving the purpose. The card-based system is efficient enough to track attendance. Secondly, our hostel is in the downtown area of Victoria, and unfortunately, downtown is a disturbed area. There is an asylum just beside our hostel, and a few days ago, inhabitants from that asylum entered our campus around midnight and started to shout. Honestly, all of us got scared. Not only that, a month ago, one of my friends encountered another person from that asylum, and that person tried to rob him by showing a knife around 9 pm. Hence, I would like to go with Option A to give us a sense of security, and any miscreant will think twice before misbehaving with any of our students. Regards, Mike
