Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
A NGO is conducting a survey to know how people feel about education system for boys and girls. The NGO has sent out an opinion survey to see what residents feel about the given options
New educational institute survey :
Option A: it is better to educate boys and girls in separate schools.
Option B:Boys and girls benefit more from attending mixed schools.
I believe mixed-gender schools are more beneficial for students. Even though students would feel more comfortable in gender-segregated schools in their early days, coed schools would offer more benefits to the children of our society. To start with, students are young, and school is the only place where they learn and develop their social skills. To illustrate this, mixed-gender schools offer more diversity and equality in teaching. Moreover, it has been observed that the students belong to mixed schools possess more intellectual skills and the ability to express opinions. Another reason why mixed schools are better is because of the better performance showed by the diverse school's students. A recent study at the University of Virginia has revealed that the boys who study along with girls perform better than the students who study in the single-sex schools as they pen down their thoughts well in exams. Additionally, they quickly adjust to real-world situations when they leave school. Considering these reasons, I think mixed schools are better than separate schools. Again, these are my personal beliefs, but I will support whatever the NGO decides to do. I appreciate the opportunity to provide input on this issue.
