Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
A local NGO working for the betterment of school-going kids, especially focusing on reducing the stress level in the new generation has sent out an opinion survey to see what people think about the presence of multimedia gadgets in house.
NGO conducting a survey:
Option A: Kids should have no access to gadgets like smartphones or iPad etc..
Option B: Kids should be encouraged to read books in their free time.
To whom it may concern Although allowing children for mobile and laptop access is not a bad idea, habituating book reading is more beneficial to the students. I will explain the reasons below. Firstly, book reading improves knowledge, vocabulary, and thinking capability. For example, the kid who reads more books can be interested in exploring new things; this will helps them to improve their academic skills. Furthermore, book reading improves patience skills as well. The child who had a book reading habit will look relaxed rather than watching a mobile child. On the other hand, if parents allow permission to watch mobiles, they miss used that opportunity by playing games and watching age-inappropriate videos. In addition, they become lazy at sit one place and watching continuously. Doctors did not suggest more screening time for kids. It will effects health like eyesight and more stress. In conclusion, utilizing free time for book reading is better rather than mobile watching. Thank you for allowing me to express my opinion. Regards Tony
