Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
Your city is planning to develop new sports complex. The city has sent out an opinion survey to see what residents would like to have built-in that area.
Sports Complex development survey:
Option A: Athletic tracks and supports Complex: Sports complex will mainly provide facilities to Athletes.
Option B: Baseball ground: Authorities will develop ground with a good sitting capacity
To Whom it may concern. I believe developing the sitting capacity for the baseball ground would be better. Even though we might need one more Athletic track and supports complex, local people need more sitting capacity for our baseball ground. Baseball is one of the main attractions for our locality. Most people in our residential area like to watch the baseball match in the wintertime. Unfortunately, we do have only one baseball ground, and it does not have sufficient sitting capacity. It has a capacity of around 50 people at a time. As a result, sometimes we do not get a ticket and miss the opportunity to watch the match. What is more, in our area, we do not have other recreational options except the baseball tournament. Every winter, we do eagerly wait for baseball matches to entertain ourselves a little bit. On the other hand, we have already an athletic complex for our athletes. It need some improvement, and we could do that by raising some funds from the local people. So, I believe that increasing the sitting capacity for the baseball ground would be a better choice. However, again this is my personal opinion. I will support whatever the city council wants to do. Regards Thomas.
