Writing Task 2: Responding to Survey Questions
Read the following information.
Your city traffic department is conducting a survey to bring in revolutionary changes in the traffic management. The department has sent out an opinion survey to see what residents feel about the given options
Traffic Management Survey :
Option A: Department should issue more tickets with heavy plenties.
Option B: Department should Organise traffic awareness programmes on a regular basis.
To whom it may concern. My name is Thomas, and I am a resident of Toronto for the last 15 years. To bring in revolutionary changes in traffic management, the department should issue more tickets with heavy penalties. Hence, I choose Option A. This option will benefit the department as well as the residents. Issuing more tickets with heavy penalties will spread fear in the minds of the violators. People sometimes violate traffic rules because they don't feel bad about paying small amounts charged to them. This will help to make roads safer and safer for everyone. The department had already organized many traffic awareness programmes in the past, but people don't pay much attention. They don't feel responsible for the bad traffic on the roads. As per the current situation, more tickets with heavy penalties will grab their attention to the traffic management and make them aware of the traffic rules and regulations. Anyhow, I would respect any decision taken by the department. Thank you for letting me provide my opinion. Regards, Thomas
